Goodyear Accepting Community Funding Applications

Full Description:

The City of Goodyear is accepting applications through Feb. 28th at 5 p.m. for its Community Funding Program. The program provides direct monetary grants to nonprofit agencies that provide health and human services for Goodyear residents. Non-profit agencies may download an application from Goodyear’s website: www.goodyearaz.gov.; click on Forms & Applications in the left-hand menu on the homepage. The Feb. 28th deadline will be strictly followed. Please understand that late applications will not be accepted.
The application timetable is as follows:
February 28 at 5:00 p.m. - Application submittals must be in
March 1 through 16 - A technical review of each application will be made to determine its eligibility as a nonprofit agency. Only non-profit [(501-(c)(3)] agencies are eligible to apply;
March 26 through April 6 – Council subcommittee to review and draft recommendations;
April 9 through 23 – Letters sent to applicants advising of the subcommittee’s recommendations;
April 30 or May 14 – Council Worksession to discuss subcommittee recommendations;
June 11 or 25 – Formal City Council action taken on funding requests.

Applications approved by the City Council will be part of the FY 07-08 budget adopted by the City Council. Award recipients will be notified by letter of the amount approved by Council and should receive funding by approximately September 4, 2007.
