New Life Center Shelter Bowl VII Date: Saturday, March 15, 2003 (a St. Patrick's Theme) Location: Tri-City Bowl, 1425 North Central Ave (just south of Van Buren Street in Avondale) Special Treat: AZ Cardinal Cheerleaders Entertainment: DJ - music all day, free hotdogs/soda, child care, a very fun time! Registration: From now until March 10 - call New Life Center (mention board sponsor Susan Caratachea) 623-932-4404
Collections: Bowlers are encouraged to collect all "flat" pledges when sponsors sign up or any time before the bowling event and bring those pledges to the Registration Table on bowling day. After the event, Bowlers will collect all "per pin" pledges and any outstanding "flat" pledges. At the event, prizes will be given to Bowlers for: • Pledges of $75 or more receive a commemorative T-shirt. • A strike with a colored head pin • Random Drawings Bowlers must have a minimum of $35 in pledges per team member, to bowl. All bowlers are encouraged to obtain as many pledges as possible and turn in at the event. Competition is encouraged among schools, communities, police and fire departments, City Councils, businesses, service clubs, friends, etc. Teams may challenge each other for the greatest pledge amount, most bowlers, highest score, etc. Other Opportunities for Supporting Shelter Bowl VII (call New Life Center at 623-932-4404): • You can be a lane sponsor for $250 (your company name and logo put on a banner above one of the bowling lanes) • Donate merchandise, tickets, etc., for one of the prizes. Prizes can be anything -- some we give during the day, some are for large giveaways, raffles, etc. • Give a one-time donation to support the women and children who come to New Life Center seeing a safe haven. • Volunteer to help with the day’s activities. All proceeds of the Shelter Bowl go to underwrite expenses for New Life Center, a domestic violence shelter. You can help women and children who are victims of domestic violence.
